Welcome to I Can't Believe I'm Still Single
Like all relatively smart, funny, attractive men I've always believed that when I was ready, I could easily land a smart, funny, sexy, warm, loving wife. 'When you build it, she will come.' That's what you're told all your life as an American man. The girls are just going to line up when you say the word. Well, my friends, I'm ready and have been for seven years now and I can't even meet someone I want to have a second date with let alone make my wife.
My last girlfriend left me on my knee with a ring in my hands and tears in my eyes. Initially the tears were of happiness, since she had said she wanted to get married for the previous two years and whenever I was ready, we would do it. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line she changed her mind but didn't feel it necessary to let me know. She thought it best to wait until I was proposing to drop the guillotine, humanitarian that she was.
Since then I've tried speed dating, Yentas, blind dates, Internet dating, meeting girls at the gym and yoga, on the subway and on the street. Actresses, models, lawyers, social workers, teachers, comediennes, even hookers, special massage girls and dominatrixes and nothing! I simply cannot believe I'm still single at 35! (44) This is my story. Just a regular guy looking for love and unable to find it... so far.

All You Need Is Love - November 13, 2007
So here's the deal. I'm making a 10-part TV show out of my recent book tour. It will be either on a network or exclusively available on a weekly basis though my website, Amazon, and/or Netflix, I haven't decided which way I'm gonna go yet but one thing is for sure... it's stupid good. There will be an ample dose of the world according to Eric, many dates in many cities, and a ton of heartfelt and funny interviews with all kinds of people across the country about the nature of chemistry and love and singledom and union. First I want to thank everyone who's come out to see me all across the county. I've been so touched by your encouragement, and amazed how far some of you have traveled to attend. Unfortunately, due to a personal situation with the management at the William and Mary bookstore, my books did not arrive in time for the signing tomorrow. So I'll have to cancel. Sorry to disappoint those who were planning on coming out, but I wanted to let you know as soon as possible so as not to cause any inconvenience. xo, e

Okay, you asked for it, you got it. The book tour dates are being set and I just might make a film about the tour while I'm at it... It seems the West Coast is first in late July and early August, then the East Coast and maybe South in late August and the fall. So If you want me to come to your town and read, you have to let me know ASAP. As of now...
